My goal

So I meant to write a week ago about how I did on my goal... I did better than I thought but the couple of mornings that #5 woke up before me and acted all clingy like I forgot. I am hoping to make this a more permanent goal rather than just for one week.

My new goal for this week: Get to bed at a decent time so that I won't be feeling so blah in the mornings. I don't usuall go to bed until after midnight so my goal for this week is by 11:00 pm and then maybe it will get earlier as I get more used to the idea. (this is starting tonight since last night I didn't go to bed until after 1:00am so I guess this morning)

For Just One Week

There is a blog that I like to read and on Monday's Erin gives herself a goal that she is going to work on for just one week. Some are easy and some are much harder, I love to see what she is going to be working on because it is usually something that I have yet to master and I feel like I should be doing. So this week I am going to set my own goal and because I put it in writing I will be more on the ball about keeping it up because I am going to have to account for how I did. So for just one week I am going to say my moring prayers right when I wake up. I am going to make sure that it is a sincere prayer of what is in my heart and not just go through the motions that I so easily tend to do. My friend Christa also does goals for the week if you want to check hers out as well.

Thanksgiving Month

I am hearing a lot of Christmas music on the radio lately, I love Christmas especially more now that I have children that get all excited about it. I still love Thanksgiving as well and I am a bit saddened by the fact that this holiday gets skipped over. Why is it that as a society we are so quick to skip over a holiday that celebrates being grateful and counting all of our blessings and move right onto the one that for some people could be renamed as the "Gimmee, gimmee, gimmee Holiday"? I am just wondering. So for your listening enjoyment I have found uploaded Adam Sandler's "Thanksgiving Song". Love ya!

Halloween pictures

This is what he told me he wanted to be last year but when we got to the costume store he changed his mind. When he told me that he wanted to be a vampire this year I just bought the costume while he was at school and "suprised" him with it. (I used my noggin this year)

Last year he was a SWAT guy and the year before that he was a policeman. This year he went for the black ninja costume but was kind enough to oblige me when I asked him to pick a different color of costume so his pictures don't look the same every year. He said "okay Mom, but next year my costume is going to be something black again."

As soon as I brought the fist vampire costume home for my oldest he got it in his head that he also wanted to be a vampire. It made it so easy for me, he didn't change his mind and has looked so cute, although he let me know that he is going to be a pirate next year.

This one was a treat... we went to Old Navy to get his costume and he was running around and refusing to try them on because he just wanted me to chase him. (oh the joys of a three year old huh?) but then he decided to be the "scary dragon, RAAAWWR!" That is him scaring us in his picture, I'm not very scared but it does make me want to grab him and hug him!! Oh, he is so cute and silly!

And last but not least is my little 13 month old spider. Normally I scream and freak out at the sight of spiders but this one I have not problem picking up and snuggling. You should see how cute he looks when he walks. There is stuffing at the bottom of his costume so he looks all plump and then his little spider legs stick out and he is so stinkin adorable!!!
I hope you get lots of treats tomorrow night and have a very happy halloween!!

A new baby? Nah...

I have always said that I wanted six kids, I have five already and a lot of days I feel like I have my hands full and don't think I can really do that sixth one, I am always going back and forth and I will ask my husband and my kids about it. I just casually asked #4 (he is three years old) about it... this is the conversation:
Me: Should we have another baby?
Him: NO! I hate babies, I want a cupcake instead.
So there you have it (cupcakes don't take 9 months to cook)

Are you sick of this yet? I am.

Thank you for giving me your honest opinions on my house post, I really appreciate those of you that left me a comment. We thought about it, looked at some other houses (we didn't find any that we were interested in) and we took your advice. We still feel like this is supposed to be our house so we are going to wait it out.

I called and had the mortgage company extend my lock (It cost about $1200) and then I told my realtor that they should have to pay for that in their closing costs. He agreed and so did their realtor. Steve was also frustrated that they are putting us out for another month and a half so he decided that we should also ask them to pay more of our closing costs. Both realtors agreed and so did the sellers. We signed the addendum last night and it is being faxed over to them this morning. They are going to add to the earnest money that we already put down so that if something goes wrong and we are not able to close and get the house we will be able to take all of the money that is in the account. I am keeping my fingers crossed that there are no more hangups.
